Nanny was visiting her other granddaughter for Lucy's birthday, so when she came to visit yesterday, she brought a whole new birthday celebration with her. Lucy was thrilled, how could she not be?
I had gone to a baby shower for a friend of mine and brought home the balloons...it was all very festive. Lucy is wearing her new dress, holding her new giraffe, and toting her new purse.
She had to go upstairs and find her birthday jewelry to show to Nanny.

And what did Lucy say? "Mah Birhday."

The giraffe was handmade in Guatemala. I got it when I went back, along with a horse for Bowden. Saved it for 2 years! The dress and purse were from Mexico, on my trip to Puerto Vallarta. It was her central American outfit!
