I think that this was Saturday. It was fairly nice out, and Josh found an old sled in the Matinence Yard.
for incredible feats of tremendous noise and nearly relentless activity...

We spent a cloudy morning at the beach, last Thursday. I'm going to alter the date so it seems as though I've posted with regularity, but we all know the truth.

Lucy loved the hole my mom dug for her.
Bowden drove his dump truck up and down the beach in his chonies. I don't really know what the point of bathing suits are at the beach for children who can't swim, unless you care about tan lines.
My mom and I are old castle pros.

My camera was dying, and I told my mom- "Quick!" when she asked for a picture of all three. She quickly adjusted her hair and collar, and this is what I got.
Moat and rock wall...we got all out.

Took a nice trip with my mother to Oceanside...we stayed in a little time-share apartment with everything we needed.
We went to the zoo on Wednesday, and I took some pictures, but really, aren't you tired of pictures from the zoo? The above picture is of Lucy and Bowden looking at the hummingbird pictures in the hummingbird aviary.
By far their favorite thing in the room was the plastic chains that dissuade little birds from flying to their freedom.

Bowden and I have been taking walks up to the stream that runs through the west side of camp. The trail ends right where Bowden likes to find a "poking stick." We made a little dam by setting some pebbles in one place, and clearing the dead leaves from another.
He doesn't like getting his feet wet. This trip ended early, for that reason.
The days have been springlike, and I want to grow and plant and plant and grow.
The above picture is of Bowden and Lucy digging with our next-door neighbour, and one of their favorite persons, Isaac Shirley.
The pants, Bowden chose on his own. He likes to mow the ground not covered in grass- more dust to enjoy.
Lucy will try to eat an apple while doing anything. They usually end up covered in bits of twigs and rocks, being handed to me with the label, "dirtay."
We adopted an old sandbox with no lid- needing none, as cats are coyote candy- when we first moved here. It has needed replacement sand every year...this year it was all box for a few months before it became warm enough to allow for new stuff. We went to Home Depot, a store I am very fond of, and our travels took us to the shower and tub section.
Oh, they were hiding.
Lucy joined in, and Bowden desired that I should, as well. So I did, briefly. That shower is roomy!
