(Until Bowden fell while climbing on the playground equipment as I was packing up. I heard crying, then the gasps of all the other mothers, and looked up to see Bowden, sobbing, his mouth filled with blood. It looked awful, and I set Lucy down to hold him, and he cried and cried, and she cried and cried, and when I finally got a look in his mouth, one of his big teeth was pushed in almost all the way, and his other tooth is weird, and a smaller tooth next to it, as well. He also cut his lip, and really, the scene was pretty gory, and he was in a lot of pain. His lip is huge, and he looks totally different with a huge upper lip, and I don't know about the teeth, but he's okay and played happily at church today...)

Bowden!!
But what a trooper he is. He told me that he is alright, and he's growing new teeth.
He just has to have a positive outlook- what a gift!

Do update about those teeth. I've been stressing for days thinking of his bashed in teeth slowly dropping from his gums. Is he okay?

not much change- today his lip is less swollen, but his teeth, especially the one, is still pushed all of the way in...
he doesn't seem to be hurting anymore, which is good. argh.

April's (John's sister) cousin's girl (got it?) drove her two front teeth into her gums about a month and a half ago. They took her to the tooth doctor (you know the one), and she said that about 50% of the teeth drop down of their own accord with no further problems. Here's hopin' that Bowden's do so!
We pray for courageous, downward traveling teeth.
