We went to the Los Angeles zoo on Wednesday for Jim Richard's birthday- he's the big one. I feel a little gluttonous...I have been on so many zoo trips recently, and I love them so much. It's like having dessert with every meal.
I love the Richard family- I intruded on their family holiday, and they made me feel like a guest. It was hot, very, very hot. I am empty of words tonight, but have been feeling neglectful. I should have just written, "This is what we did on Wednesday."

the mama still looks fresh and happy, though.
i can't imagine you three tagging along anywhere being an "intrusion."
i'm sure they were delighted, as you made the trip even more fun.
