He looked a lot more gnomish in person, and darker, too for some reason. He's awake a lot more now- he still sleeps pretty solidly except to eat from 12 to 5 or 6, and he's gotten a lot better at falling back asleep at night, but still, he's cranky when he's awake about 75 percent of the time.

Jack is three weeks old today. He actually enjoyed his baby gym for ten minutes today while I put Lucy down for a nap.

I live in africa now, and you have a new baby, so neither of us can blog or check blogs like we otherwise might. It's 2am my time, and i have jetlag, and the computer connection is faster than I have ever experienced in Africa, or even can hope for it ever to be again, so I'm looking at your blog, and find myself happy to be able to do that, happy that you keep one, and happy to see this beautiful boy and his beautiful sibblings below. I love you, and I don't really miss you too much, cause all I had was this blog anyhow. I had three ANCIENT unopened letters from you in the bedroom at Reid's parents house waiting for me, from YOU when I got here. They are old thoughts, but I loved them still. Love you!
they'd have to be ancient- around when lucy and the twins were new! how funny!
