Rosie and Justin left on Tuesday. We went outside to get last shots of the cousins together before Selah is born, and Rosie brought joy to my children by blowing bubbles.

Bowden was very good at saying goodbye, but Lucy was mad that I was asking her to say goodbye to Rosie, and when Rosie would come over, she'd push her away...only to hold out her arms and say, "Woah-wees!"

My brother packing it up...

Lucy not saying goodbye, and hurting Rosie's heart. I didn't cry until she had left, and I was doing the dishes, which prompted Bowden to fake cry for a good 30 minutes...

See? So naked! It was very hot.
Our last meal with Sandy and Reid and Griffen was eaten at California Pizza Kitchen. Griff was good, and my kids did not learn from him. Bowden even went number two in the urinal. It's not a great picture of them, but it's the last one I have! You'll forgive me, no?
I took the kids outside because our meal was a little long, and made them sit together on the stairs, which they happily did. I am a poser.

Here is Lucy, cleaning up the yard for our last visit with the Arensens.
She took a lawn break with Bowden, briefly.

And then it was back to work!

It was hard to have Sandy and Reid so close...in Tustin...and so far away...a two hour drive...but they were good to come and see us as often as they did. Uncle Reid was kind enough to read copious amounts, even when it was only Bowden listening. Griff was a little tuckered, but liked the rocking horse at my mom's house.

I did...I told them to give each other a hug, but Lucy liked it so much that Griff had to run away from her.

Here she is coming in for another.
The days were hot in the Valley on my week-and-a-half long trip down. When it wasn't too hot, we were outside. I had brought the exact wrong type of clothing, so my kids ended up nekkid most of the time. These are shots of them before it got too hot...
I got a swing for Nanny's tree, and it was enoyed, but it slips around, so the child ends up facing the ground, harnessed in. Lucy didn't mind too much.

And just to round it off- this is Bowden in the car looking at coyotes and smiling for the camera.
