Not many people are as blessed as I am...
My mother brought me up to love the Lord. I would put that at the end, after all of the other, less important things she gave to me, but that is the most wonderful and lasting thing she could have done, and it overshadows everything else. She loved Jesus, and was unashamed, and made sure that my sister and I saw that in her everyday life. She showed us the right way to go, and never hid from us her mistakes in her life, so that we could learn by example and not have to suffer through the things she did before we came to a place where we could accept Christ.
Of all of the things I could do for my children, this is the one I hope and pray for most- that they would love Christ and follow Him forever.
My mother hoped and prayed this for my sister and I. She made it clear to us that this was the most vital thing she could teach us, and I took it to heart. So...I am blessed to have such a mother. She loved us unconditionally, she cared for us, and she continues to be as generous and self-sacrificing now as she was when we depended on her for everything.
But mostly, she gave me a knowledge of Christ, and for that, I will always be grateful.

My blessings have not end there. I married a man with an equal commitment to God's Truth and to living for Christ, and that is due in part to the faith of my mother-in-law. I don't take our relationship for granted. She is an amazingly strong and resourceful woman who welcomed me into her family with open arms, and has made me glad to call her "Mom." What my mother did for me, my mother-in-law did for my husband...what a blessing to have two mothers of such fortitude and wisdom and faith!

I have been blessed- and let me be a better daughter to them so that I may bless them in return.
