Hey!! It's Christmastime on the potentate blog! HoHoHo! Wondering what our Christmas looked like? I set the table for the babes.
Our Gingerbread houses and train that were never finished.
I did this side.
A vlong view of a quiet Christmas Eve.
The tree, with too many presents.
Listening to the story of Jesus' birth, having already consumed chocolates from the stockings and donned the Christmas socks.
Josh calling home with Jack-son.

Bowden getting a present.
Jack in the Christmas craziness.
The men of the house, excepting Justin, who was present.
Lucy with a present, my mom having told her to, "Show Nanny!"

Sleah and Rosie
Rosie's basket and grass jar- she inspected them very carefully for flaws. Well, it looks like it here.

I got Josh a Redskins hat.
Lucy's biggest gift.
Bowden's.
Selah and Lucy jamming.
Reading a Christmas book.

Oh, the toys were opened and quickly played with.
Bowden did not receive this mango in his stocking- I think Josh did. Bowden did eat it, skin and all.

Justin and his little girl.
Rosie and sweet Selah.

Aunt Rosie got Lucy a monkey hat.
Readying to destroy the House.

It begins!

Treasure inside!
And out.
Jack and Nanny enjoyed the show.

Dinner came at a reasonable hour, for once.

Did Rosie like her food?
The kids lost all sense of dignity by dinner time.
Cornish game hens, wild rice stuffing, fingerling potatoes, and...
... a ham steak just for Josh.
Lucy ate it up.
It was an excellent Christmas, and went well, although I made my family crazy by being crazy, I think. I just threw out the leftovers last week before we went to Hume, so Chritmas really isn't that far removed from this place!

Merry Christmas! (Your ho, ho, ho's were very convincing.)

1. I love the gingerbread, as always. You both rock (meaning you and Josh, not you and the gingerbread, though that also rocks.)

2. The food looks divine! Fingerling potatoes? Sheesh, Martha, you need to give the rest of us a break.

YEAH, RIGHT. it's unusual. we all know who will replace the queen of the home, abigail!

i didn't know you could eat the skin, either, but he made it through. he'd already done it by the time we noticed.
