This is what my ankles currently look like. They are a little swollen, not enough to tell unless you are the person wearing them and you can feel the puffiness, pins-and-needles...When I wear socks, not tight ones, they leave an impression in my skin for at least an hour after removal.
In a month, I will show what my ankles will have become...but I'll put some stay-puft marshmallow Sarah shots from Bowden's pregnancy. It's incredible, really.

Ooh, I can SO sympathize with you, Sarah, because my ankles did the EXACT same thing. Near the end of my pregnancy I felt like I had elephant ankles- they looked like stumps!
Isn't pregnancy the neatest & weirdest thing?!

You have the most slender ankles. I'd wager that they're just bordering on the size of normal ankles once they're all swollen... That is, if I hadn't experienced, first hand, just how UNHUMANLY large ankles can swell in the throws of pregnancy.

So sorry.

Reid called them my "budgies". It seemed like an appropriate word for the stumps Liana describes above.

Will they stay swollen throughout, or do you have a swollen season and then your wee ankles return again before birth-giving?

Can I think of anything else to write? Probably. My kids are sleeping.

And with that....
I'm done.

cankles= no distinction between calves and ankles.

Those are swollen? Golly. They're the size of my wrist (and, yes, I have cankles). Ooh! I can't talk about my cankles, though, because the heater just kicked in, and I've got to go sit in the heat!
