Bowden caught a remarkable creature at the beach, a lizard I have only seen in the desert or high desert. Rosie and I used to catch these little guys when we would go and visit my father's friend in Tahachapi...I have told Bowden about them, but never expected to find one in the sand dunes at the beach.
Bowden was very gentle, and took care not to squish the little guy. The kids liked the chance to see what Bowden had caught, as might be guessed.
