One cake for each decade.
Happy birthday, my sister!
Umpa and Grandma took us all out to lunch for Rosie's 30th birthday. We went to Joe's crab shack, the big draw being the outside playground at a reasonably delicious restaurant. At Joe's, they have a five minute break with the servers and hosts dancing. Pretty awesome. The girls liked the dance party.
Our server was slightly off...

The thirty-year-old!

Enjoying a wonderful coconut bread pudding.

Bowden and Lucy made a new friend. She said she had a "crush" on Bowden. Oh, boy.

My sister and brother!

Nanny danced with the kids in the corner!

Justice and Rose. It was a nice lunch, long, but fun.
We pulled out the little pool from the garage and set up a hose beach on the back porch.

Selah believed that Bowden was setting this towel out just for her.

It was still Rosie's birthday.

Grandma watched the fun with us.

Bowden, my ham.

Jack, so proud to be lying down.

Selah Paix barely cleared the side.
I have quite a few more pictures, and I must post them all...Jack's birthday was yesterday, and I'd like to get the pictures of that up before I have Bowden's to deal with!

We walked our ambling way back to the parking lot while Bowden and Lucy and Nanny and Selah went through the dunes, and since our amble was very slow, and Bowden and Lucy's going was very fast, we came around the corner to find a little girl playing in the sand by the parking lot.
As we got closer, we saw that she was covering up her skirt with sand.

It had gotten wet, and she thought that this might be a good way to dry it off.

Even if it wasn't, she still enjoyed it.

My little Lucy.
We got to the beach house just three and a half hours after we left Job and Jamin. We stopped for gas, for lunch, and for Starbucks, and shortly after getting to the beach house, we went with Rosie and Nanny and Selah to the beach. It was windy, so Jack stayed close to me. He hates the wind.
Soon he was sliding down the sand bank, happily.

Down and up, over and over.

Nanny took the adventurous girls down to the water.

Bowden saw something, but couldn't quite make it out.

What was that?

There it is!

Rosie and I posed.

And again. I like getting to be with my sister. There were a million things going on this weekend, but her thirtieth birthday had to be a priority! She still looks 17, to me, at least!
We had a birthday to get to, but before we left, I got the kids to go outside and take pictures with Uncle Job. Jacky was so cranky that I had to bribe him with candy.
He was really cranky.

The other two were happy to pose with Uncle Job- they didn't want to leave, knowing that he's be there after we left, and leave before we got back- but Aunt Rosie and Uncle Justin and Selah were at the beach house with Nanny, so we had to go.

Jack did not stay gleeful for the whole shoot.

When Uncle Job told him to come and say goodbye, though, he ran to him and hugged him.

Then froze him out. Jack's still grumpy.

Bowden and Lucy ran, too.

Goodbye, Uncle Job!

If you are wondering where Jamin was, she was in the kitchen, working until she dropped. We love that girl!
